A Pink Rose For a Sunflower or a Sunflower For a Pink Rose?
A Submission from Devon Martinez
Walking though a garden only feeling blue sky’s, remembering how I get lost in both of they eyes, one can have a conversation leave ya hypnotized, one with a body that would leave ya mesmerized. Love and lust I’ve danced with both, each have intoxicating tempos, can lead me slow and let me know that she can only kiss from a distance so she blows one, no matter how far away she strikes with the force of a gun
How can I choose, they both got me falling hard like my shoelaces loose, I love when she talks, I love when she walks but who’s who? I’m so confused
Both of them threw me a line and I bite now I’m hooked line and sinker why couldn’t I enjoy the swim. Through oceans of fishes and no promises or commitments now I’m trapped in this prison of smitten.
Shit……I’m in love…..I love you both. It’s not mutual or undisputed, they don’t accept my love they use it. Fake hitting on me but leaving real bruises but my heart dropped anchor on both of you like cruises.
I’ve reached the end of the garden and I see my choice, one sunflower with stems and petals so curved and divine & a gorgeous pink rose with a few thrones but ultimately refined.
The sunflower beautiful with intensity as hot as it’s name, once I’m with her it’s like I can’t seem to figure what’s released in my brain, with a right stem and petals that seem appealing on any day I just can’t seem to put you away.
The pink rose as mentioned has been through a lot like mistreatment and droughts. Being disregarded like me and forgotten about it’s no surprised my hand gets caught on your throne you keep them out to keep me at bay.
So what is it, what can I say, I love you both and I have to leave this conclusion till another day.
